LEARN ABOUT OUR PROGRAM →
Botanical Paws is a small, in-home Maine Coon cattery dedicated to preserving and improving the breed one healthy, well-loved kitten at a time. Our cats aren’t kept in a separate room or cattery building. They live with us, sleep near us, and grow up alongside our four kids and our Newfypoo, knowing what it feels like to truly be part of a family. That’s exactly the foundation we want to instill in every kitten.
We serve families across the United States, and we personally handle delivery so your kitten gets to you safely, in good hands, and with the same care they’ve known from the very beginning.
Maine Coons bred with intention. Placed with care.
SMALL CATTERY, BIG STANDARDS
We stand behind every kitten we place for four years. That’s not something you’ll find just anywhere.
4-Year Health Guarantee
Preliminary hip X-rays plus OFA finals at 2 years. We take skeletal health as seriously as genetics.
Hip Dysplasia Screening
All breeding sires and queens receive echocardiograms to screen for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, the number one heart condition in Maine Coons. Most breeders skip this. We don’t.
HCM Cardiac Screening
Every parent is tested through Optimal Selection for genetic markers. Every kitten is DNA tested before going home so you know exactly what you’re getting.

MEET OUR QUEENS & SIRES
Health testing is the most important thing a breeder can do and one of the most skipped. At Botanical Paws, every sire and queen is tested before they ever produce a litter.
Not all breeders test the same way. Here’s what we do.

READY TO BRING HOME YOUR MAINE COON?
Meet the Family Behind Botanical Paws →
We didn’t plan to become breeders. We adopted a senior domestic longhair with many of the Maine Coon qualities we’d admired from afar. That one cat changed everything. Today, Botanical Paws is a family operation in every sense. Our Maine Coons live in our home, not a separate facility. They’re handled daily, raised alongside our four kids and Newfypoo, and loved the way we’d want any pet to be loved.
We also happen to think that breeding is equal parts art and genetics, and that’s what makes this work so endlessly fascinating.
Our story started with a senior cat and a whole lot of heart.
CLAUDIA H.
Working with Botanical Paws was an amazing experience from start to finish. Rachel was always quick to respond and kept us connected to our kitten with weekly photo updates that made the wait so special. When it was finally time to bring him home, they were flexible and accommodating, making the process smooth and stress-free. He is a healthy, happy, and well socialized little guy, I would recommend them for anyone looking to adopt a Maine coon!!
LELA B.
We got our beloved, Vera, from Botanical Paws & we couldn’t be happier! Rachel was so great with helping us through the process and helping us prepare to bring Vera home. Vera is exactly what you want with a Maine coon. These cats are so loved and cared for. If we ever get another Maine coon it will definitely be through here.
LINDSEY V.
Botanical Paw and Rachel are amazing! We got our sweet, beautiful Ella (formerly Lily) from Botanical Paws last year and Ella is about to turn 1 in a few short weeks. Rachel answered all my questions and puts a ton of care and dedication into the health and wellness of her cats. A wonderful experience!
